InMotion Pictures was founded in 1999 as a DVD rental business located in airports.  Passengers would rent a player in one location and return it in the next.  We began with two locations in February 1999, Portland and Minneapolis.    


Today, the company is the largest entertainment and electronics airport retailer in the U.S. with a unique blend of cutting-edge electronics, accessories, music, movies and rental services.


In 2005, Inmotion Pictures acquired Altitunes, expanding our product line and nearly doubling the number of stores.  From this acquisition, “InMotion Entertainment” emerged to properly communicate our new brand.


From it’s beginning, our company has focused on delivering the highest quality customer service, providing our shoppers with the latest in technology and presenting our employees with an exciting and rewarding work environment.
